Fried Potatoes with hot dogs
6-8 potatoes, sliced and peeled (optional)
1 onion, chopped
1 pkg. hot dogs, sliced
salt and pepper to taste
bacon grease
In a frying pan combine all ingredients. Cook over low-medium heat until potatoes are soft. ( I cook them a little more until they are semi crispy). Best served smothered with pickle relish (especially if you have a bottle of Grandma Irva's) or Ketchup.
I miss you dad more than I could ever say. Your big hands, your hot temper, the way your eyes would shake when you were being silly, long Sunday drives to where ever, you talking mom into buying "fun" stuff for us kids, the compassion you showed for others in need, teasing you about being "baldy", listening to you sing, our 4am trips over to flat top looking for deer, always feeling "safe", and always knowing without a doubt that you loved me. I will never forget the wonderful things you taught me. I am so blessed to have had a one in a million dad. The only thing I wonder about is how I was so lucky to get to be your daughter! I can't wait for my kids to know you in heaven!

Don't make me cry stupid! My family loves his hot dog potatoes recipe too. You are right, he was a one in a million dad. I miss his guts!
You made me cry too...and he wasn't even my dad! He was a great guy! I'll have to give his recipe a try! You certainly can't go wrong with hotdogs!
This is what Brett had to eat at our house the last time he was over here dropping off a container! It's a favorite at our house to. I know Dad would be very proud of you and the wonderful Mom and Wife you are!
Love ya!
I guess I need to try this one, but yeah it does sound weird! but I do love the blueberry cobler that was his recipe, so it's worth a shot.
looks yummy! you gave me a good idea for dinner tonight. I haven't made this meal in a while but remember how yummy it was when we were all kids. Brings back memories.
